Doing a work for money and doing a work selflessly are altogather different things. In ancient times in India, though money was important but it was not everything. The Guru (teacher) during that time used to teach not for money but as his duty towards the society. But with the arrival of the British in India, the work for money became the moto of everyone.
So now the teacher (Guru) teaches for money not as a duty towards the society. This change has affected the relationship of a teacher with his pupil.
