Guru meaning is  the teacher . In the ancient era the role of guru was much important than the todays teacher. Ancient teacher was the example of ideal for their students. They not only tell and teach them the modern knowledge and information but also focus their character development along with the value education .They taught them how to behave in the society and personality development.

While present day teacher is just focus on their on respective subject knowledge teaching and don't taught their student the personality development nor teach them the value education and morality lessons.

Being a teacher i just want to adopt the characteristics of the ancient guru of teaching the students the personality development ways and value education along with modern scientific education.Because it's actually the duty of a teacher to give the better morality teaching to his students for the better society.

In ancient times education was imparted in the gurukuls while nowadays schools and colleges are the centres of learning. So earlier the students used to live with the gurus and they took care of their all round development. But now the teachers take care of the students in the schools and colleges and impart secular knowledge. Extra-curricular activities in the school help to develop the other aspects of the student's personality.

In the present times, a teacher's role is mostly restricted to the classroom. They are mainly involved in imparting secular education to the students. There are many teachers who are role models for their students. They mentor and nurture the students.

I would like to follow the example of the ancient gurus who imparted both spiritual and secular knowledge to the disciples. They helped to mould the personality of the students and cultivate values in them. They led exemplary lives and inspired the students to do the same.
