Every being that lives in tropical or sub tropical terrain, loves rains. The long spell of scorching summer season just saps the life out of plants, men and animals. The very wind blows as if coming out of an over-heated blower! The tree leaves become withered. Water level in lakes, rivers, dams and below the ground goes quite down. All beings wait expectantly for the rain gods to shower their blessings. All wait for the blessings from heaven to fall in diamond shaped drops. And then it comes as an answer to a million prayers. It brings the cool solace along with it for parched souls of humans, animals, trees, and all life forms. The trees rejoice in its caressing showers; the animals frisk and jump in flee; children become mad with joy and rush out of doors to slake their thirst with every pore of their skin. The elderly thank Heavens for the nectar of life. It is true that rains of monsoon fills each and every form of life with new life. If there were no monsoon rains, India would be an arid wasteland!
