How do you find the partial sum formula for (1/2)+(1/4)+(1/8)+(1/16)+... ?

hey here is ur answer...
it form a G.P
it have common ratio 1/2and the first term of this G.P is 1/2...
apply the formula for the sum i.e.
a{r^n-1}/(r-1)
n here is the no. of terms..
u will get (2^n-1)/2^n

Find partial sum by using G.P formula
S = a/1-r
here, a = first term & r = common ratio.
S =
 \frac{0.5}{1 - 0.5}
= 1 answer
