All my new colleagues who have joined universities now a days come after studying portfolios. So it is less likely you'll see dominating or condescending behaviour off-front.

So reinforcement is always good for management in academics and internal competition. Why competition? Because standards of academic department is easily explicable through their recruitment and staff roster.

Now please don't question why i put Probably before welcome. ;-)
