How do you rewrite 9x+3y=6 in function notation?

Solution:

Given ,

9x+3y=6

Divide each term by 3 , we get

=> 9x/3 + 3y/3 = 6/3

=> 3x + y = 2

=> y = -3x+2

=> y = f(x) = -3x+2

Therefore,

y = f(x) = -3x+2
