How do you simplify (−4x+1)−(x2−2x−3)?

(-4x+1)-(x²-2x-3)

= -4x+1-x²+2x+3

= -x²-4x+2x+1+3

= -x²+(-4+2)x+4

= -x²-2x+4

Therefore,
