First open the brachet of the equation we get:

0.5x+ 0.5*2.8 = 0.6x+0.3;

0.5x + 1.4 = 0.6x + 0.3;

applying the method of variable separation.

1.4 - 0.3 = 0.6x - 0.5x;

1.1 = 0.1x;

x = 1.1/0.1

we get x = 11; IS the final answer

Answer:

11

Step-by-step explanation:

applying the method of variable separation, we get

0.5x + 0.5 x 2.8 = 0.6 x + 0.3

∴  0.5x + 1.4 = 0.6 x + 0.3

∴ 1.4 -0.3 = 0.6x -0.5x;

∴ 1.1 = 0.1x;

Hence x = 1.1/0.1  = 11
