We know how to solve equation, We use the same method to solve inequations.

Given,

3x + 7 > 4x + 2

Add - 3x to both sides ;

3x + 7 - 3x > 4x + 2 - 3x

7 > x + 2

Add - 2 to both sides ;

7 - 2 > x + 2 - 2

5 > x

So, Any value of x less than 5 is the solution.

Therefore, Solution of 3x + 7 > 4x + 2 is x < 5.
