How do you solve 5x - 3y = -20 and -3x + 6y = 12?

5x=3y-20

X=(3y-20)/5

put in

-3x + 6y = 12

-3*[(3y-20)/5]+6y=12

(-9y+60)/5+6y=12

(-9y+60+30y)/5=12

(-9y+60+30y)=12*5

(-9y+60+30y)=60

21y+60=60

21y=60-60

21y=0

y=0

put y=0

X=(3y-20)/5

X=(3*0-20)/5

x=-20/5

X=-4
