How do you solve the system of linear equations 2x+3y=7 and −3x−5y=−13?

solution: y = 5 and x= -4

step by step procedure:

2x +3y = 7 -----------x3

- 3x - 5y = -13---------x 2

6x + 9y = 21

- 6x - 10y =- 26

- y = - 5

y = 5 and x= - 4

steps: 1)make the coefficients of x equal

by multiplying 1 with 3 and 2 with 2

2) eliminate x and we get y value
