How do you solve (x−1)(x+1)=3?

Solution :

( X - 1 ) ( X + 1 ) = 3

X ( X + 1 ) -1 ( X + 1 ) = 3

X² + X -X -1 = 3

X² -1 = 3

X² = 3 + 1

X² = 4

X =√ 4

X = 2

(x-1)(x+1)=3

x^2-1=3

x^2=4

x^2-4=0

(x-2)(x+2)=0

x=2,x=-2
