How do you solve y−6x=22 and 4y+17=−11x using substitution?

Y-6x=22. eq 1

4y+11x=-17 eq 2

multiply eq 1 with ×-4

4y+11x=-17

-4y+24x=-88

By that equation

35x=-71

x= -71÷35

x= -2 1÷35
