Explanation:

The most common and simple test you can perform is by using a filter paper. Take a little quantity of food containg fats and distribute it evenly on a filter paper and wrap the paper slowly.

After that leave it for around 3 to 5 mins undisturbed.

Now once you straighten the paper, keep it near sunlight for a while.

Finally you'll notice if the food contained fats... there must be oily patch on the paper.
