A few weeks before birth, the foetus usually turns over in the utreus so that it lies downwards, just over the opening of cervix. The child is born as a result of rhythmic contractions of muscles of uterus wall.
The wall of uterus contracts repeatedly underthe influence of a hormone,,in such a way that foetus is forced out.
Birth of a child is called . The baby comes out from vaginal tract with detachment of placenta from lining of uterine wall and is expelled out.
Hope it helps.
