The carbon cycle is the circulation of carbon again and again between living things and the environment.

Caron is released to the atmosphere from carbon sources and is stored in plants, animals, rocks, and water,called carbon sinks. This process occurs in various steps.
1. Plants take CO2 from the atmosphere and releases oxygen.The CO2 is converted into carbon compounds that make up the body of the plant, which are stored both in the shoot part and the root part.

2.Animals eat the plant, inhale O2 and release CO2. The CO2 released by animals is used by plants in photosynthesis.

3. The carbon in plants that are not eaten by plants decomposes after plant dies and is then either released into the atmosphere or gets stored into the soil.

4. Carbon is also released through human activities.
