Yeah every organelle of the cell performs different duties. Like:
1. Nucleus: Controlles the cell and protects the DNA in the form of Genes.
2. Mitochondria: It performs the production of energy by synthesis of ATP.
3. Chloroplasts(In plant cells only): These are the sites of Photosynthesis within the plant.
And etc.. are the division of Labour in the Cell
