HELLO MATE.....

Desert plants have deep root in the ground which helps them to penetrate water from the deep of the earth. They are thorny beacause the hairs and thorns help them to prevent moisture causes due to wind.

THANKS..

HEY MATE!!

A desert plant has various adaptations to survive in the harsh conditions. Some of them are:

THORNS instead of leaves

Desert plants such as cactus have developed thorns instead of leaves to minimize the transpiration (loss of water)

LONG ROOTS

Since desert areas are water scarce areas , the plants have long roots that grow deep inside the soil in search of water

STOMATA

Many desert plants have very

small stomata and fewer stomata than those of other plants.

LEAVES AND STEM

The leaves and stems of many desert plants have a thick, waxy covering. This waxy substance does not cover the stomata, but it covers most

of the leaves, keeping the cooler and reducing evaporative loss.

Other desert adaptations shared by a number of plants include shallow widespread roots to absorb a maximum of rainfall moisture and spines or hairs to shade plants and break up drying winds across the leaf surface.

Hope you find it informative!
