The flute is made in the form of an open cylindrical air column about 66 cm long. Sound is produced from a flute by blowing onto a sharp edge, causing air enclosed in a tube to vibrate

The sound of flute is produced by blowing quite lot of air over the mouth of the flute.flutes have an owel hole over which u must blow.but to do this you must have the right mouthshape the shape used for spitting rice is appropriate.then U blows lot of air.
