how does a gas exert pressure on the walls of the container in which it is kept

actually gases are completely compressible so that they put the pressure on the wall of the container in which it is kept ..actually if a pressure is found then people say gas exerts pressure but actually particles are exerting pressure ....hope it helps ...plz mark as brainleist

Every gas has a vapour pressure
When the area inside the container is completely filled the gas inside it tries to go out and in this process it exerts pressure on the walls of container
I some case when pressure is too high it penetrates wall of container
