The air particles in the container are loosely packed.Hence the Kinetic energy possessed by them if more.
The air particles in the container are in continuous random motion.
Hence,they collide on the walls of the container.
When the particles collide,they exert a small amount of pressure on the wall.
More the number of particles, more is the pressure exerted.
