Here's ur answer.

In humans fertilization is internal. The sperms produced in the testes of male are introduced into the vagina of female through penis. During copulation (mating) about 300-400 millions of sperm are released into the vagina in a single ejaculation but only one sperm is able to enter the ovum. Fertilization takes place inside the upper part of fallopian tube.
Sperm are deposited in the vagina. They travel to the egg present in the fallopian tube by the lashing movement of their tail. The fusion of the nuclei of sperm and ovum marks the completion of fertilization.
Each human cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes. Out of these 23 pairs, 22 pairs of chromosomes are called autosomes. They are similar in both men and women. They carry genes for somatic characters.
Now if the X chromosome of female fertilises with the Y chromosome of male, then it os a boy. And if the X chromosome of female fertilises with the X chromosome of male, then it is a girl. Thus is how the baby is born.
