Oxygen reaches the ALVEOLI sacs(structural and functional unit of lungs), there are are numerous blood vessels surrounding alveoli sacs...
partial pressure of oxygen in blood is lower than in alveoli...as a result oxygen is diffused into blood and as the same process through vice versa carbon dioxide is thrown out into alveoli. again at the tissue level the partial pressure of oxygen acts..so oxygen gets diffused into tissues and cells from vessels... :)
