How does absorption take place in the small intestine of the human beings?

=> most of the digested food is absorbed in ileum part of small intestine. this part contains finger like projections villi . These villi increase the surface area for absorption of digested food is absorbed by diffusion, osmosis and also by active process which use ATP. the absorb food goes to the blood capillaries present in villi.
