Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) is an amphoteric compound. Whensodium bicarbonate reacts with Acetic Acid it forms Sodium Acetate and water. It also liberates carbon dioxide gas because it is the rule of chemistry age when carbonates and bicarbonates react with acid to liberate carbon dioxide.
