How does addition of salt and sugar to food kill bacteria and prevent food spoilage??? Plzz reply soon... it's urgent... i would mark u as brainliest surely.......!!!! ​

Addition of sugar and salt content increases the amount of chemicals like sucrose, fructose,etc.And these chemicals are useful for the growth of the bacteria which is useful for us,as it provides food to them.They fight against harmful bacteria and prevent the substance from destroying.

Other reason is that sugar or salt substance makes the harmful bacteria inactive for some time,and hence increases the age of eating substance.

Answer: The addition of salt and sugar release a chemical substance which kills most of the microbes present in the food . Salt is used to prevent pickles , fish , chips ,etc., Sugar is used to prevent jams , jellies , etc.
