Monsoon wind bring rain to India. It is due to the difference in air pressure .In summer season the Northern plains of India has been intensively heated by direct rays of sun, this cause a low pressure in the land while the ocean surrounding has a high pressure ,this cause the wind to move towards India ,while in its way it picks up moisture from the ocean and bring rain to India .

Hope this help......

Due to apparent movement of sun towards the tropic of cancer the temperature of the infian landmass dtarts increasing. Hence due to high temperature alow pressure develops over there. Contrastly the water bodies namely Indian ocean., arabian sea , bay of bengal and coastal areas have a comparitively low temperature due to oceanic climate. Thus a high pressure is created over there. The low pressure of the indian subcontinent gets further intensified with sun at very close to tropic of cancer which acts as a suction force which attracts the moisture laden winds from water bodies towards itself. Theregpre winds starts blowing from a region of high pressure to a region of low pressure.........
