amoeba obtain it's food by using it's temporary finger like structure . firstly the food go close to the pseudopodia and then slow and steady process it get enter inside the body of amoeba

When a food particles is lying close to the body of amoeba, it produces foot like structure called pseudopodia. Food particles is taken inside the body by the process of endocytosis and is digested inside the body of Amoeba in the food vacuole. Waste material is thrown out the body by the process of exocytosis
