So an atom is the smallest amount of an element you can have and a molecule is the smallest amount of a compound you can have. Molecules are made of atoms, because compounds are made of elements.

Differance :-

Atom:-

  1. It is the smallest stable unit of existance
  2. It is neutral in nature

Molecule :-

  1. It is the compond of two or more atoms with diff properties
  2. It can be + tive, -tive, neutral in nature.
