¶ Earthquake is caused by the sudden movement of of rocks present in the earth's crust.

¶ The outermost layer of Earth's crust is broken into small pieces.

¶ When the plates brush past one another or a plate goes under another due to collision, some disturbance is caused in Earth's crust, resulting in tremors and earthquakes.
