How does an estrous cycle differ from a menstrual cycle?

Oestrous or Estrous cycles happen mostly in females of mammals whereas Menstrual cycle happen in the females of humans.

 

Oestrous cycle is the physiological changes as a result of production of reproductive hormones, in the females of most mammals.

 

The cycle that is required and happen in females of humans, for production of ovocytes and for preparation of uterus for pregnancy, is known as Menstrual cycle.
