Anne responds to the punishment by Mr. Keesing by first protesting against the punishment end then writing all the three essays so wittily that she asserts her grievances at the same time impresses Mr. Keesing with her writing. She establishes her character as a strong, clever talented girl.

EXPLANATION:

Anne Frank the young Jew school girl was a real chatterbox. Her school teacher being fed up with her talkativeness gave her to write a prose-piece titled ‘The Chatter-box’ as a punishment. Anne was furious with the punishment meted out to her and protested vehemently. When Mr. Keesing did not respond she took it as a challenge. Being a gifted writer she wrote out her punishment and the other two assignments in a very witty, humorous and sarcastic manner. Mr. Keesing was highly impressed with her writing.

Anne was of a strong and rebellious character as revealed from this incident. She was also a very gifted writer.
