Answer:

Antony was not only a loyal friend to Caesar, he was an accomplished statesman also. He had many qualities in him. He had the art of oratory. His speech had deeper effect on Roman crowd than that of Brutus. Antony used many techniques to make his speech more convincing and effective. First of all he handled the public sentiments against Caesar very carefully. He started his speech by praising Brutus and the other conspirators. Then he put forth the proofs, incidents with examples to prove that Caesar was not ambitious at all. Secondly he reminded them how they used to love Caesar once; he evoked their sympathy and love for Caesar. Thirdly, he showed them the Caesar’s stabbed corpse and used inflammatory words to make them angry against the conspirators. Lastly he read Caesar’s will in such a manner that really made the Roman crowd rise in mutiny.
