Pressure, volume and temperaturehelp in liquefaction of gases. Pressurebrings close to molecules of a gas thatare far apart from each other. When more and more pressure is applied ongas molecules they come closer to each other so inter molecular forces start producing between gasmolecules.

When gases are compressed, the pressure applied on the molecules is very high and the molecules come very close to each other. thus the gas changes into liquid state. This is because the molecules of gases are far apart from each other whereas the molecules of liquid are close to each other. Thus pressure helps in the liquefaction of gases.

hope it helps you!!
