how does bee sting causes pain and irritation? rubbing of baking soda on the sting areas gives relief. how?

when bee stings they release melittin into their victim this venim immediately trigers pain receptors which cause burning sensation.the sting of bee is acidic in nature and baking soda is basic so when we apply baking soda it neutralises the effect giving us relief.

bee sting contains methanoic acid .When our skin comes in contact with bee sting it causes irritation to our skin when we treat it with baking soda that is a base it neutralises the effect of acid and then causes relief to the irritation on the skin
