Chemical coordination in animals takes place with the help of hormones.

EXPLANATION:

Hormones are also known as chemicals which are produced by endocrine system. Thus, they are able to traverse through the body by the means of the blood vascular system.

They are classified as protein or steroidal hormones, based on their molecular composition. The organs, which produce these hormones, are placed all over the body.

Based on the function there are a wide variety of hormones, such as  Epinephrine (fight or flight stimulus), testosterone (secondary sexual characteristics in males), insulin (sugar metabolism), progesterone (primary sexual characteristics in women), and vasopressin (regulation of the blood pressure).
