How does chlorophyll affected the rate of photosynthesis?

if the chlorophyll is more in the leaves the photosynthesis process can be done at high rate but if it is less in the leaves then the rate of starch production will be less...

Because chlorophyll help plants in photosynthesis.Without chlorophyll plants can't do photosynthesis.
