Dams and barrages are very important in the field of agriculture in India.
The Dams are very helpful in the field of agriculture in the following ways
Provide water which is used to irrigate plants during dry seasons.
Most areas in India are dry hence can not fully depend on rainfall alone.
The dams are equally used to to water animals and even make them give high level of production
Dams are used to generate electricity which is also used in the processing of agricultural products providing agriculture sector with funds hence its develolment
