Democracy enhances the dignity of people.In democracy the poorest and least educated have the same status as the rich and educated have. People are the ruler themselves as they elect representative of their own choice they are not subject to a democracy. Democracy is a form of government of the people,by the people and for the people. It is based on political equality's principles where all citizens treated equally. Democracy is formed and runs only due to the whole participation of the citizens they make the government. In democracy adult who are 18+ eligible for vote means they have the right to vote to choose his/her ruler and thus making he/she will be a responsible citizen of the nation. Democracy gives enormous rights to the citizens. Democracy treats every citizen equally according to their rights given.

India is one of the largest democratic country in the world where democracy provides all basic rights to its citizens. Democracy gives fundamental rights to the people like to right to equality,right to freedom,right to against any exploitation,right to constitutional remedies, cultural and educational rights and freedom to practice any religion. Every citizens are being protected by the law. Thus ,we can say that democracy enhance the dignity of the citizens.
