how does democracy help in representing the people

vishnureddy: Democracy represents the will of the people because the people actually vote over problems and bills. However, in a representative democracy, which is what is in the United States, the people do not vote for the bill or idea directly. Instead, they vote on a person of a certain party to represent them and their ideas. With this, the government doesn't have to count all of the votes of everyone, but instead they can count the votes of the representatives.

On democracy people elect a person on whom they trust and completely believe , people elect a person who sees the world from their point of view and thus will solve the problems in the way the people want . Thus in democracy a person is elected to represent a group of people
