Answer: Endocytosis can be defined as the process by which amoeba takes food inside the body. Amoeba is an unicellular organism where a single cell is responsible for performing all the functions of the body. During the process of endocytosis the outermost layer of the amoeba folds inwards and takes the food particles inside or it extends the outermost layer to get the food particles.
In this way the endocytosis helps the amoeba to get its food.
