Exchange of gases takes place in theplants through the tiny pores on the surface of their leaves called stomata . The exchange of gases also occurs in the roots of plants. They do so bytaking in oxygen from the air spaces present in soil.

Answer:

>> Young stems also have stomata. In old woody stems, lenticels develop below the bark to ensure gaseous exchange.

>> The roots of plants takes oxygen in between the soil particle by diffusion. Root hair are there which is in contact with soil and moisture.
