Plants are matured with the weather surrounding them. Do, may be the weather is too hot or too cold, they will adapt themselves with that weather.
Now, in case of very hot and cold water, some plants suddenly stopped maturing their parts when that was the actual maturation period. It becomes a little difficult to bear flowers and fruits at that time.
