How does flood effect vegetation

During a flood, when the water passes through the soil, it keeps on making it porous and porous. Since all types of soil are not able to,withstand with excess water, the soil loses its fertility and the land becomes barren. This way it adversely affects the vegetation. Hope this helps....❤
