Gulliver sets sail for his fourth voyage as captain of the ship 'Adventure' .But his sailors die .He recruits the new ones but they leave him on an unknown shore .He goes to find habitants there .But he comes across some animals .They have long hair on their bodies and are like human beings .They have goat like beards and claws .They use these claws for climbing the trees .He finds them very ugly and primitive .He meets more animals .He hits one animal with his sword .The animal gives out a strange sound .More such animals come and attack Gulliver by defecating on him .They stand on their hind legs and look very ugly .They have no tails .Gulliver hides and sees them running away .He comes out of his hiding and finds that a horse has scared them away .The horse observes Gulliver carefully .Another horse comes .They pronounce the words 'Yahoo' and 'Houyhnhnm' . Gulliver understands that the animals are 'yahoos' and the horses 'Houyhnhnms' .He finds the horses wise and intelligent.
