hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound with the formula H2O2 . it is a colourless liquid ,slightly more viscous than water,in it's pure form.hydrogen preoxide is a compound with an (oxygen- oxygen single bond).
It is used as an oxidizer, bleaching agent .
it acts as an strong oxidizing agent both in acidic and basic media.
when it is added to a cloth , it breaks the chemical bonds of the chromophores (colour producing agents). Hence, the visible light is not absorbed and the cloth gets whitened.
