Hello friend.

The Himalayas play a very vital role in influencing the climate of India.

• The Himalayas act as a barrier which prevent the cold and chilly winds blowing from central Asia from entering India.

• The Himalayas also stop the moisture bearing monsoon winds from escaping India thus bringing orographic rain along the northern belt of India

Hope this helps... :)
