Hi there summarily
a dam is built on a flowing river to enclose the water then
then holes are created to force out the dam water hence converting
the potential energy of the water to kinetic energy
the force generated by the water is used to turn an installed turbine
which cover mechanical energy to electric energy( principle of a simple
dynamo) just like some bicycle as you are driving it the bulb at the front start
blinking the faster paddling the more stable the blinking which is also known
as alternating current resulting from it blinking
