Mass is the amount of matter in a body whereas inertia is the resistance offered by a body. Mass is the measurement of inertia . We know that is a body possess more mass then it can resist the upcoming force more . So mass is directly proportional to inertia .
If mass increases then the resistance offered will be more hence, inertia will be more and vice - versa .
