eg of saprophytes are fungi , bacteria etc. .....

Organisms like fungi ,bacteria etc..... take dissolved decaying organic material from the environment in this the organism release some enzymes to digest the dead organic food and then the nutrients are absorbed through their body surfaces.......

Saprophytes such as fungi and mushroom lack chlorophyll and hence cannot prepare their food. They obtain nutrients from dead and decaying matter. The saprophytes secrete digestive juices on dead and decaying matter and convert it into a solution. They then absorb the nutrients from it. In this way, they digest their own food and derive nutrients from it
